December seems to have come and gone in the blink of an eye and here we are in 2019! Happy New Year to everyone! As usual, December was such a busy month for us. One of my favorite things about December is taking the kids to the snow. They can play for hours and hours.

For this layout, I used a few of Kelly Purkey’s December release: Big Plans TN Kit, Tina’s Months stamp set and the 2019 calendar.

December has flown by so quickly, once again.  I used Kelly Purkey's  holiday releases to document the month in my traveler's notebook.  I used the Oh What Fun Traveler's Notebook Kit for this layout.

On this laypout, I used a mix of December Words, December Monograms and Christmas in the City stamp sets

Travel Journal

During the week of Thanksgiving, my husband and I were traveling in Taiwan and Japan. I brought along some of my Kelly Purkey stamps to use in my travel journal.
Picture
I used the large 6x8 number set from the Holiday release to add our departure and arrival times. I also used the Cobble Hill alpha from the November release to add airport codes and titles throughout my entire journal.
I really like to keep my travel journals simple. I bring minimal supplies so I can focus on just getting words down rather than focusing on what stamps and embellishments I want to use.

Hi everyone! I wanted to share a Halloween layout I made of my son dressed up as Harry Potter! I used two of my favorite Kelly Purkey releases this month - Platform 9 3/4 and the Louise alphabet!
I used different stamps from the Platform 9 3/4 stamp set to create my own patterned background, perfect for adding his photo to. On the opposite page, I created my Harry Potter title with the Louise alphabet and added a lightening scar above the title! I really love how this layout came together!

Fall is definitely my favorite season, and I’m so glad that it’s finally here. The weather here is still pretty warm, but I am still pulling out my sweaters and getting all things pumpkin!

Kelly Purkey’s new releases have some fun stamps perfect for fall storytelling. I used the Story Time TN kit and the New Season stamp set to create this layout about spending some time with our family.

I’ve always loved buying different clips. When I see different shapes, sizes and colors, I want them all! I used the clip stamps from Kelly Purkey’s new Back to School mini kit to make a layout about my obsession.
Picture
I first randomly stamped the clips all over be page, using black and grey ink. I printed a photo of some of my many clips on my instax printer on black film.

I then took my embossing label maker to add my journaling.

Summer Reading

One of my favorite things about summer is all the extra reading time we have. I try to finish a few books during the break while our lives slow down a little bit. This summer I decided to pick up the Harry Potter books that I never finished when my oldest started reading them years ago. Kelly Purkey’s Bookworm Traveler’s Notebook kit was perfect for documenting my newest addiction!
Picture
I found a Hogwart’s patch at Target that I wanted to use on my layout. Before adding it to the library card patterned paper, I used my typewriter to add the titles of all seven books in the series. I also randomly stamped a few books around the page. On the “reading” page, I added my journaling as well as stamped “summer” and “time”.

Hello everyone! I just love Ali’s Story Kit and Story Stamp this month, Adventure! I have a lot of undocumented trips and I wanted to at least get a little bit about them down in my journal. This layout was for my trip to Vietnam in March 2014. I printed one of my favorite photos on my Instax Share printer. I love the new black square film! I added a chipboard embellishment onto my photo and stamped “adventure” and “really, really excited” below the photo. I took the travel tags from the kit an added details about our trip on my typewriter. To do this, I used washi tape to tape the tags onto an piece of paper, making them easier to type on. I am hoping to creat an entire mini album for this trip soon, but for now, I am so happy that I have a piece of it documented!

Rest and Relax

The Rest & Relax Bonus Traveler's Notebook kit is definitely a favorite of mine from the Kelly Purkey April shop update! I love the color palette and all those leaves!
Picture
I loved the patterned paper with the half circles on them. I decided to cover most of the graph half circles with photos from a hiking trip. Luckily I had a circle punch that fit perfectly and made pulling this layout together a breeze.
Picture
Next I took the word stamps and randomly stamped them in white on the solid half circles.
Picture
To finish this layout, I took the colorful leaf patterned paper and cut a half circle from it, and adhered that to the pink leaf patterned paper. I then added a label and a coupe stickers to the layout. It's very simple but definitely one of my favorite layouts!
